And so it begins. I’ve seen one job already on glass door that requires knowledge of AI and I only barely started looking. I wasn’t even specifically looking for AI jobs. I’ve seen other articles where ChatGPT can be used to make thousands in side hustles. So far, so good. I’ll have to check out those job hustles and see if I can make use of those articles. Just one job is enough for me. One article claimed some jobs will pay you as much as 800k if you know AI.

Generative artificial intelligence is all the rage now but the AI boom is not just all hype, said Dan Ives from Wedbush Securities, who calls it the “fourth industrial revolution playing out.”

“This is something I call a 1995 moment, parallel with the internet. I do not believe that this is a hype cycle,” the managing director and senior equity research analyst told CNBC’s “Squawk Box Asia” on Wednesday.

AI is quickly becoming an essential part of daily work. It’s already being used to help improve operational processes, strengthen customer service, measure employee experience, and bolster cybersecurity efforts, among other applications. Infosys further explains that it will provide certification in AI and Generative AI skills, which are crucial for securing jobs, through its Infosys Springboard Virtual Learning Platform. The certification program will offer a diverse range of courses covering various topics related to AI. These courses include an introductory course on AI and Generative AI, with a specific emphasis on deep learning and natural language processing. Additionally, there will be a masterclass on AI and the impact of Generative AI.

A man that wears a leopard print cowboy hat has a bold prediction: that AI will, in the next few years, replace up to 80 percent of jobs.

Companies are integrating AI into their operations so quickly that job losses are likely to mount before the gains arrive. White-collar workers might be especially vulnerable in the short-term. The speed of this adoption presents an opportunity for companies to step up their pace of innovation, however — and if enough companies to go on offensive, then we won’t have to worry about AI unemployment. Adopting a bias for boldness and a startup mentality will help companies find the agility to make the most of this moment, and protect jobs as a result.

Generative AI in supply chains will be able to forecast demand, predict when trucks need maintenance and work out optimal shipping routes, according to analysts.“AI may be able to totally (or nearly) remove all human touchpoints in the supply chain including ‘back office’ tasks,” said Morgan Stanley analysts.

But “Generative AI, in my mind is, once in a lifetime kind of disruption that’s going to happen … so there are going to be losses of jobs in the more traditional setting, but I also believe it’s going to create new jobs like every prior technology disruption has,” said Navneet Kapoor, chief technology and information officer at shipping giant Maersk.
