   The sophisticated Google “Optometrist algorithm” bootstraps fusion experimental campaigns by providing scientists with suggested initial machine settings while iteratively rapidly accessing experimental outcomes. As a part of the algorithm, synergistically, cooperative human input and experience can be used to identify and select the more promising candidates for further testing.

   Thanks to this algorithm, an experimental fusion campaign can proceed faster and advance with greater confidence. The time required to achieve closer to optimized experimental results can be reduced dramatically from a month to in some cases, just a few hours.
