Vitalik Buterin
Vitalik
Buterin is
Head Writer at Bitcoin
Magazine.
Vitalik is a computer science student
at the University of Waterloo, but is currently taking time off to
pursue
Bitcoin-related projects in Europe.
His interests
are diverse, ranging from computer science to economics to linguistics,
and he firmly believes in the power of the internet, from P2P networks
to social networking to Bitcoin, to lay the foundation for a new,
bottom-up, 21st century information economy.
He has been a
member of the
Bitcoin community since March 2011 working on small-scale efforts like
the Bitcoin Weekly, and now hopes to see being the chief writer for the
Bitcoin Magazine become his first professional employment.
Vitalik developed the Bitcoin private key secret sharing application btckeysplit, the pybitcointools
library, and some code for the
BitcoinX “colored coins” project,
as well as a few others.
Outside of the Bitcoin world, he wrote AI
Challenges, a set of problems inspired by Sebastian Thrun’s course
to help you learn AI programming.
