Rocky Rawstern
Rocky Rawstern has been the Editor of
Nanotechnology Now since 2001.
During that time, Rocky has interviewed hundreds of nanotechnology
leaders from around the world, from government leaders to investors,
business leaders to scientists.
He is responsible for posting
Nanotechnology Now’s daily news, which
consists of reading and sorting through several hundred news
articles, and winnowing it down to the 2 to 3 dozen most pertinent.
In 5 years he has posted over 20,000 articles relating to nanotechnology.
Once each month Rocky organizes, interviews, and writes articles for
the
NanoNews-Now report, which offers an in-depth analysis of one
important issue relevant to nanotechnology development.
Each month he also interviews university scientists for the
NanoTech
Transfer Report. This report helps Nanotechnology Now readers keep up
to date on important nanotech developments, discover interesting new
nanotech patents, and find lucrative partners.
In 2005 he won the
Foresight Nanotech Institute Prize in
Communication, recognizing “outstanding journalistic or other
communication endeavors that lead to a better public understanding of
molecular nanotechnology and its high social and environmental
impact.”
Rocky is a Senior Associate of the
Foresight Nanotech Institute, and
lives in Southern Oregon, USA.
