Miron Cuperman
Miron Cuperman
is a futurist based in San Francisco who is currently
Founder of CPUSet and
Founder of a Stealth Bioinformatics startup.
He has developed applications in diverse problem domains from inventory
management to whole-genome DNA sequencing during his 20 years of
industry experience.
His interests include the new web,
nanotechnology, and the Singularity. He was CEO of
FillZ, an online
inventory management and order fulfillment system for volume book, CD,
and DVD sellers. He initially developed the technology behind FillZ to
help a friend who was having difficulty loading her book inventory on to
several marketplaces simultaneously.
FillZ has since been incorporated into AbeBooks and has
facilitated orders for books worth tens of millions of dollars on behalf
of its clients. More recently Miron has contributed to organizing
technology conferences including the Center for Responsible
Nanotechnology’s Future of Bio and Nano Conference and the Singularity
Institute’s Singularity Summit.
Miron earned his B.Sc. in Computer Engineering at
Simon Fraser University, Canada in 1992. He did his first two years of
study at Technion-Machon Technologi Le’, Israel.
