Kristiina (Orasmäe) Paju, MSocSc is Project and Futures Coordinator at Lounais-Hämeen koulutuskuntayhtymä, Chairwoman of the Board at Lapsiperheiden Etujärjestö ry, and Chief Executive Officer and Futurist at JEOS Oy.

As the Project Manager and Future Coordinator at Lounais-Hämeen koulutuskuntayhtymä, an association of educational municipalities in Finland, Kristiina has, since 2021, worked on futures lectures, presentations, workshops, AI strategy development and AI course creation (ethics and futures perspective), and holistic online course creation and facilitation for the food industry.
In 2020, Kristiina joined the Finnish Federation of Families with Children (Lape) as Secretary of the Board. Lape is a national association that acts in the interests of families with children and is a channel for influencing political decision-making through foresight and responsibility. The association takes a position on current issues for families with children and provides information to decision-makers. In 2023, she became the Chairwoman of the Board.
Previously, between 2016 and 2021, she was a Project Planner at the Project Development Unit for the UBC Sustainable Cities Commission at the City of Turku in Finland. She was responsible for the environmental and urban sustainability activities within UBC. She coordinated the UBC Sustainability Action Programme, which is closely linked to the EU strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. In her last year there, Kristiina worked with communications in the HUPMOBILE project, UBC-CDP cooperation, and Space4People project.
Kristiina earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Education from Tallinn University in 2014, with her thesis Teacher’s Plurality of Identities and Multicultural Competence. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration in International Business from Turku University of Applied Sciences in 2015 with her thesis Influencing Sustainable Consumption – A Case of KeepCup.
Kristiina earned her Master’s Degree of Social Sciences in Futures Studies and Sustainable Development from Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku in 2021. The Master’s Programme in Futures Studies trains foresight experts who work in development, forecasting, and expert roles in companies and public organizations, both in Finland and in the international arena. Her thesis was titled Images of the Future of Estonian Education.
Since 2024, Kristiina has been working on her Master of Business Administration in Behavioural Insights and Choice Architecture in Management at the Laurea University of Applied Sciences.
While studying, Kristiina worked as a Librarian at Tallinn University and as an Event Manager at the Erasmus Student Network in Tallinn.
In 2014, she briefly worked as a Market Communication assistant at IB-HUB but later began her Internship at Turku University of Applied Sciences in 2014 and 2015. Kristiina also worked as an HR Trainee at Cargotec and was a DASH Marketing Officer in 2019. DASH is Europe’s Biggest Design Hackathon. In 2019, the DASH x Boost Design Hackathon took place on the premises of TUAS.
