James Blodgett, M.A, M.B.A., M.S.
James Blodgett, M.A. (sociology), M.B.A., M.S. (statistics), was
principal author of Lifeboat’s response to DARPA’s 100 Year Starship
RFP while Chair of Lifeboat Foundation’s Grantsmanship Committee.
James is Coordinator of the
Global Risk Reduction Special Interest
Group in American Mensa. He gave talks on
global risk at four American Mensa Annual Gatherings, at a Global
General Gathering of the Triple Nine Society, and at a Society for Risk
Analysis Annual Meeting. He has published papers relevant to Lifeboat
concerns in World Future Review and in the Journal of the British
Interplanetary Society. He was part of a group that persuaded CERN to
do a second safety study.
James has produced and conducted training programs, taught courses in
statistics, economics, and sociology at several colleges, published
articles on several topics, and self-published cartoons and poems. His
computer programs and interface protocols for handicapped persons who
interface with a computer by means of a single switch were featured
on the cover of
Communication Outlook and won first place in the Council for
Exceptional Children
National Software Search, Physically Handicapped Division.
