Diego Gutiérrez Zaldívar
Diego
Gutiérrez Zaldívar,
President of the
Argentinean Bitcoin Foundation, has pioneered web development
in
Argentina since
1995. His most remarkable feature is the ability to translate new
technologies into usable tools for business needs.
He was part of the founding teams of Clarín Digital (main
Argentina’s
newspaper website), Patagon.com (financial community sold to Banco
Santander for 750M), Internet Argentina (first Argentinean ISP to
provide
ADSL), Edunexo (provider of a SaaS platform to administer public and
private educational institutions in Latin America and Spain), Xinergia
(leading edge web development company), Cero a Cien (managing and
tutoring
platform for entrepreneurs), Arraiga (IT training and labor insertion
platform), and Restocoins (payment system to ease bitcoins acceptance on
restaurants and cafes).
He also held positions as R&D Manager for ElSitio.com leading a team of
20
developers and CTO at Trusted Translations, Inc.
He is currently presiding the Argentinean Bitcoin Foundation. He is also
helping spread the word about bitcoin in Latin America and strongly
contributes to the creation of grassroot bitcoin communities in Chile,
Colombia, México, and Uruguay.
Diego earned his Bachelor’s in Humanities at the
Instituto Libre de Segunda Enseñanza (ILSE).
