Claudio
Migliore, MBA is an International Financial Services Executive
and Advisor.
Claudio has spent the last 25 years at the intersection between
payments, technology and product management. He has worked in local and
international banks in the US, Latin America, and Europe, mostly in the
payments business.
He has designed, developed, and sold internet corporate banking and
payment services, including the first EDI-based payment service in
Argentina, the first electronic bill presentment and payment system for
the oil industry, and the first full scale bill presentment outsourcing
service for business communities in Latin America.
He was the founding President of the Net Settlement Clearinghouse of
Argentina, and a Chairman of the High Value Payments Commission of the
Central Bank of Argentina.
In Italy, Claudio first ran, then dismantled ABN AMRO’s billion Euro
local Transaction Banking business, later to work on the worldwide
integration of RBS and ABN transaction businesses.
He is currently advising diverse clients on the payments business,
including traditional banking institutions and innovative payments and
retail bank startups. He maintains a keen interest in the Internet, the
economy, and digital currencies, particularly as a member of the Bitcoin
Foundation, through researching, blogging, and investing.
Claudio is fluent in English, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese, having
been based at different times in the US, Argentina, Chile, Spain, and
Italy and has traveled extensively for work and leisure throughout the
Americas and Europe.
Claudio earned his Master of Science (SM) in Business Administration
with focus on Finance and Applied Economics from The Sloan School of
Management at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1987. He
holds degrees in Economics and Actuarial Science from the University of
Buenos Aires.
