Christopher Grayson
has been a trailblazer in the world of smart glasses, wearable technology, augmented
reality, and virtual reality. A selection of his related speaking engagements include Zero
Power Smart Fashion at Swissnex / Swiss Consulate; Wearable Tech Expo at Jacob Javits
Center; guest lecturer at Parson’s New School of Design; speaker at SxSW, Austin; NASA Jet
Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA; Microsoft N.E.R.D. (New England Research &
Development), Mobile Frontiers at FutureM, Cambridge/Boston; GeoWorld Summit, Brooklyn,
NY; Augmented World Expo, Santa Clara, CA; and others.
A veteran of the New York advertising industry, alumni of Ogilvy & Euro/Havas, with a
client history on technology accounts & premium brands, with campaigns recognized by The
Ad:Tech Awards, The Addy Awards, The Web Awards, Euro CBi, and The OneShow, most notably
for client work on Intel for Euro/Havas, and on Nikon Professional Digital SLR cameras in
collaboration with Emanuel Ungaro Haute Couture for McCann’s
MRM group. Christopher has
specialized experience in launching upmarket brand extensions of mass-market brands,
including M&M’s Premiums and Bud Light Platinum. While at Ogilvy, He conceived of
and Art Directed “Italian Dinner,” one of the top performing American Express Gold Card
conversion broadcast spots of all time; an agency where he was also the creative lead on
the LVMH / Chandon Sparkling Wine business.
As a technology event organizer, Christopher has been recognized as an early adopter of
gender-balanced speaking rosters at both his 2011 and 2012 TEDxSiliconAlley events held in
New York City. He has also been co-organizer and business-track chair of Augmented World
Expo (previously Augmented Reality Event) held annually at Santa Clara Convention Center,
in the heart of Silicon Valley. He has been widely quoted and sourced in the press
including PSFK, Mashable, Wall Street Journal, Venture Beat, BetaBeat, ReadWriteWeb,
TheNextWeb, New York 1 News, and various marketing trade publications. In a PR capacity he
has also placed stories in WIRED UK, CNet, Entrepreneur, Yahoo! Small Business,
PandoDaily, GigaOm, and others.
He was once the contributing arts editor at H+ Magazine, during their brief run
as a print publication, including the biomechanical sculptures of Christopher Conte and 3D
scan art and sculptures of Sophie Kahn.
Academically, Christopher studied small metals and jewelry design at Memphis College of
Art, Interior Design at Memphis State University, and Architecture at Pratt. While at
Memphis State he also extended the honors colloquium, Computers in the Human Context, into
an honors independent study on the contemporary cultural-anthropology of humans and
technology.
He is the Cofounder, CEO, and Chief Creative Officer of the luxury technology label
