Andrés Grases Briceño, MBA

Andrés Grases Briceño, MBA is Director of Global Outreach at BioViva Science USA. He is a Mechanical Engineer and a continuous learner and is a Full Member of Humanity Plus, Online Member of People Unlimited Inc., and collaborates with the Life Extension Advocacy Foundation through its crowdfunding program.

At BioViva, Andrés’ major responsibilities consist of providing support to BioViva in its efforts to identify qualified potential joint ventures, partners, investors, vendors, employees, and business opportunities. He also works to identify and refer potential gene therapy patients to Integrated Health Systems (IHS), BioViva’s strategic partner, and support the company in its communication strategies.

Previously, Andrés was the General Director and Administrator of Real Estate Portal Startup Zielostone. This is a technological startup whose main product is a real estate portal designed with last generation programming languages, covering all the markets of Spanish speaking countries, from Spain to Las Americas using a single search bar. During his time, Andrés was responsible for the management, representation, and administration of the company. He made use of machine learning and deep learning algorithms.

Andrés comes from Venezuela, where he achieved Rank 2° and graduated in Mechanical Engineering at Simón Bolívar University in Caracas, Venezuela in 1984.

For 16 years, from 1984 to 1999, he served in the Venezuelan Petroleum Industry, occupying various managerial and executive positions. For the first 10 years, Andrés was working at PDVSA Petroleos de Venezuela. Next, he became the Economics Investigations Director at the Ministry of Finance in Caracas, and after a year and a half, returned to PDVSA as Executive Secretary and Executive Assistant to the President.

In 1992, Andrés earned his Master’s Degree of Business Administration (MBA) with honors from the Boston University School of Management, now known as the Boston University Questrom School of Business.

Andrés has completed advanced studies in management and finance at the Babson School of Executive Education, the Darden Graduate School of Business, and the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a lifetime member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, a distinction awarded to top graduate students in MBA programs, obtained at business schools accredited by AACSB International.

Between 1999 and 2001, Andrés was an Independent US Stock Market Trader out of Venezuela through the Internet.

Andrés emigrated to Spain in 2001, where he developed a variety of activities, among others, an intraday trader in the US stock markets, real estate developer, and private consultant in photovoltaic solar energy markets. He stared in Barcelona as an Independent Real Estate Developer and Consultant and continued for almost 4 years. He joined Proyectos, Ejecución y Control de Obras (PROYECO) in Madrid as Real Estate Develpment and Promotion Director in 2005, and in 2008, he became an Independent Solar PV Consultant developing a broad dynamic database that covered the main technologies of photovoltaic electricity generation, and solar markets in Europe, USA, and Latin America. In 2013, prior to his departure to Costa Rica, Andrés sold part of the database and information booklet to Censolar (Center for Solar Energy Studies) based in Sevilla, Spain.

In Costa Rica, Andrés was an Operations Manager at Locatel, a Big Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Store. After two years of successful operations including starting to operate independently from the Master Franchise as a Pharmacy Market brand, Andrés moved back to Madrid, Spain, where he became Independent Financial and Sales Consultant in the Real Estate Business.

In June 2016, Andrés was appointed General Director of a technological startup, created to develop an innovative real estate portal, using last generation programming languages (Angular JS, HTML5 / JS / CSS3) as well as deep learning and machine learning algorithms. The idea was to become the leading real estate portal for the Spanish-speaking world.

This opened his mind to the field of the applications that such technological advances could have in other areas.

In December of that same year, Andrés resigned from his position in the company that owns the portal, to enter the Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications related world. Among other things, he learned about the advent of the technological singularity which convinced him to collect as much relevant information as possible. At first as bookmarks and folders on his personal computer, but then as the webpage TranshumanPlus.com, where he is now collecting and updating sources and news of the Technological Singularity, Life Extension and other similar subjects.

The purpose of his webpage is to contribute professionally to the diffusion of the advances that are being carried out in these areas, as well as to look for sponsors to support R&D efforts.

Andrés closely follows scientists, philanthropists, and other world leaders who are betting on these ideas. He is an Online Member of People Unlimited, Inc., an organization that, among other objectives, promotes the Coalition For Radical Life Extension, which in turn produces RAADfest (Revolution Against Aging and Death Festival). Andrés also collaborates with the Life Extension Advocacy Foundation through its crowdfunding program.
