Randall Severy
Randall Severy is an Accomplished Chief Technology Officer focused on Building and Leading Top-Performing Teams.
Rendall was the CTO at Livanta LLC for more than 4 years, between 2020 and 2024. He served as an integral executive leadership team member responsible for the IT Department and developing and implementing the organization’s technology strategy and vision, as well as all software engineering efforts and system implementation.

He leveraged innovative technologies such as AI, ML, and NLP, including utilizing NLP and AI to automate medical records processing for medical record review. He performed deep dives to develop the Livanta innovation strategy, focusing on opportunities for efficiency and cost savings utilizing automation technology and innovative capabilities.
By designing and implementing electronic transmission methods for medical records, Randall earned a CMS award for technology innovation. He also researched and designed innovative Call Center automation technologies to enhance the efficiency of call center operations.
Previously, Randall was Database Consultant for more than 16 years, working at the National Space Society from 2004 to 2020. He was also the Director of The Lunar Resources Company from 2000 until 2020.
Randall earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
In 1989, he became Project Manager at GE Information Services, where he managed a team of six software developers and coordinated all interface development between the front-end user interface and back-end mainframe application.
He designed, developed, and managed the front-end system for a worldwide banking risk and exposure management system (RXM) on eight different operating platforms using a single code base, generating over $4 million in annual revenue. He also developed a graphical user interface library for use in building cross-platform desktop applications and taught customer training classes in London, Tokyo, Paris, and Amsterdam.
In 1996, Randall founded and became the CEO of CyberTeams company, where he led in designing the concept and architecture of all organizational software products and personally developed much of the software, building a top-performing suite of products that grew the organization from a mere idea in 1996 to delivering $500K in annual revenue by 2001. He also provided expert direction and guidance in the development of the WebDAV Internet Standard in Redmond, WA, in 1998, establishing the ability to edit websites over HTTP and HTTPS connections. After 10 years with CyberTeams, Randall merged CyberTeams with Inroads, LLC, and took the role of CTO. He was responsible for all internal IT operations within the company, leading a team of 8 in designing the strategy, concept, and architecture for the enterprise e-commerce and AxiumPro application suite. He parted with Inroads in December 2019 and joined Livanta in January 2020.
He started college at Bennington College in Vermont in 1981 and after a year, he transferred to St. Mary’s College in Maryland. After three years there, he got a job offer from General Electric. He later finished his degree at night from the University of Maryland in College Park, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Computer Science in 1990.
Randall has continued an active training regimen, including management training and technical training courses in a variety of areas. He then set his sights on completing the Microsoft Technical Certification program. He received the Microsoft Product Specialist certification in 1995 and later completed 4 of the 6 exams needed for the Systems Engineer certification.
Randall is a Member of the Mars Foundation, The Mars Society, the National Space Society, The Planetary Society, the Space Studies Institute, the Space Frontier Foundation, and the First Millennial Foundation. He is also a Member of the Molecular Manufacturing Shortcut Group and the Foresight Institute.
Randall was the winner of the Space Activist of the Year 2004 Award. He was one of the principal officers of the Artemis Society International, which later spawned the Moon Society.
