Colin A. Lennox
Colin Lennox is the CEO, Lead Investigator, and Director at EcoIslands LLC. He stewards a business whose entire purpose is to relieve global pressures related to water, waste, minerals, and energy disparity. Mars and Space exploration, and their BioSettler embodiments, are what get him going.
With a robust skill set that includes Environmental Awareness, Sustainability, Environmental Education, Water, Environmental Compliance and more, Colin contributes valuable insights to the industry.
As Director and Executive Officer for EcoIslands, he manages directors, interns, and subcontractors. His direct areas of oversight include patents, research and development, fieldwork, construction, and education.
He is the Inventor of the patented self-organizing wetland bioreactor (SOWBS) and its line of embodiments and uses. He is investigating, constructing, and promoting the SOWBs, an energetically passive “wetland in a box” called Metal Removal Units for Mining for Mine Water Reclamation, Agriculture, and Department of Defense/USAID.
He also designs, builds, installs, and maintains PermaCycler for Agriculture.
Previously, between 2010 and 2015, Colin worked as a Sustainability Consultant and Alpaca Wrangler at Alpaca of the Alleghenies. As a consultant, he advised on a variety of issues including field and herd rotation, pests and vectors, biosecurity, nutrient management and biorecycling, gardening, permaculture, and alternate resource harvesting for water and energy.
In 2010, he was an Americorps assigned Environmental Education Specialist Assistant at the Blair County Conservation District in Pennsylvania, where he coordinated and implemented environmental educational workshops and classes to the public and school children, primarily dealing with water resources.
For three years, between 2006 and 2009, Colin was a Tutor at Penn State University, where he instructed students in Study Skills and Basic Geoscience.
Colin earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Environmental Studies from The Pennsylvania State University in 2009.
Between 2006 and 2008, he was Environmental Educator and Field Instructor for Adventure Cross Country where he did 2–3 week Field Trips to Hawaii, Alaska, California, Utah, and the Canadian Yukon.
Before becoming an Environmental Educator, Colin was a Specialist for the Pennsylvania Army National Guard for almost six years, between 1996 and 2002. He was a Track Driver, Combat Lifesaver, and SAW gunner.
